Some people don’t understand the need for staycation. I was even asked once by one of my social media friends, regarding my personal reasons behind spending weekend in a hotel room located in a neighboring city where I live or at least, nearby. Change of space. Fresh environment. Experiencing new things. Satisfying the senses. Whatever our reasons are for having urban staycations, what matters most is for us to feel good and do good after. Following my most recent and pleasant staycation in Al Ain Rotana, I felt recharged and motivated to start the new week, and it made me more thankful and appreciative of the little things.
Al Ain Rotana is a luxury five-star hotel located in the impressive Garden City of the Emirates. The location of the hotel is simply minutes away from Al Ain’s tourist attractions. However, with almost complete facilities of Al Ain Rotana – having Zen the spa, a squash courts, swimming pools, a tennis court, private villas, gym, steam and sauna, play-place for the little ones, plus inviting themed restaurants, it’s a challenge for guests to decide whether to spend all day in the hotel or go to local museums, explore the mountains or do a city tour.
In the gastronomic department, Al Ain Rotana boasts of a few yet remarkable restaurants that surely will delight and satisfy the palates. Zest All Day Dining restaurant offers international cuisine from live cooking stations, that may be enjoyed from early breakfast to late lunch and themed nights. Trader Vic’s Al Ain Restaurant provides exquisite dining experience with live playing bands, Polynesian themed interiors, and a sumptuous choices on the menu. The hotel also houses Min Zaman Lebanese Restaurant (which was currently under renovation during my visit).
